In this case, Enness was approached by a client looking to leverage their Staked Crypto coins. They wanted funds to be reinvested into their business outside the UK. Staked crypto coins are cryptocurrency tokens the client has "locked up" or committed to a blockchain network to validate transactions and earn rewards. In return, the client is rewarded for helping secure the network by holding a certain amount of the cryptocurrency.

The challenge with this case was that the client's coins were in a staking package they couldn't be moved out of. We needed a lender to take custody of the assets without moving them from the existing custodian's control.

We were able to structure the deal using a lombard facility the client’s staked crypto acted as collateral for the loan. This allowed the lender to take control of the assets in a way that met the client's needs without disrupting their existing arrangements.

In addition, the client needed funds within a few weeks to take advantage of a business opportunity. Enness acted swiftly, sourcing a lender with an attractive loan-to-value (LTV) of 25% against the portfolio and a competitive annualised interest rate.

Enness has access to over 500 Lenders and can present the best possible terms to our clients. Our global presence makes us well-equipped to understand the unique needs of international clients.
