In this case, Enness was approached by the directors of multiple companies looking to merge as a means of generating cost efficiencies to increase their combined bottom line. The businesses ran in the same sector. After a challenging period post-COVID, including a surge in their running and operational costs and wider impacts on their supply chain, the businesses were less profitable than they once were, but they had identified an opportunity to generate cost efficiencies therefore increasing their bottom line.

With the businesses making less profits for the last two years, their bank had refused to offer a financing package and needed additional comfort in their ability to service any new debt. We therefore had minimal unleveraged equity within the business to utilise for the new loan. A creative structure would ultimately be necessary.

Enness’ unprecedented market access enabled us to take a broad stock of all available options from a plethora of high street, challenger and specialist lending institutions, present the options to the client besides a cost/benefit analysis and transact swiftly to meet the client's deadline within the given timeframe. This approach allowed the client to consider a range of different products before settling on the one they felt best suited their needs.

If you or your clients are considering an event-driven transaction such as the above, get in touch to discuss how Enness can best support your requirements.
