Dubai is renowned for its opulence, and this villa project, from leading Interior Design company Rive Gauche London, offers a prime example of how luxury can be reimagined. "This villa project provided us with an opportunity to design something beautifully unique: a palatial family home with a classic French twist combined with a sense of historic Emirati grandeur." - Nicolas Roux, Founder & Managing Director at Rive Gauche. The design merges classic French elegance with Emirati grandeur, creating a palatial family home unlike any other.
Location of Prestige and Luxury
Located in one of Dubai’s most prestigious residential areas, this four-bedroom villa stands in a neighbourhood known for its expansive family homes, luxuriant gardens, and private pools. The renovation aimed to maximise the villa's impressive proportions while showcasing the owner’s collection of 18th-century French furniture, all complemented by newly contemporary interiors.

Grand Entrance with a Stunning Chandelier
Step into the cathedral-like reception hall, where an eight-meter-high ceiling and a grand double staircase create an immediate sense of awe. The space called for an eye-catching chandelier, so a stunning 4.5-meter-long crystal, glass, and metal chandelier was commissioned from Haberdashery. Hanging from a large coupole, this chandelier becomes the focal point of the space, visible as you ascend the staircase.
Elegance in Every Room
The formal reception leads seamlessly into the dining room, which features another lofty ceiling and an elegant chandelier above a five-meter-long dining table. The feature wall blends Calacatta marble, bronze, and eglomisé glass for a refined touch, while furniture pieces designed with a classic French curve bring timeless style to the room.
In the majlis, the traditional Middle Eastern living room design was focused on combining cultural tradition with contemporary influences. A specially designed 10-meter-long sofa wraps around the room, offering both comfort and style. Deep green accents and rich textiles, including a sophisticated rug and pleated fabric joinery by Aiveen Daly, add warmth to the space.
Sophisticated Bedroom Design with Personalised Touches
Upstairs, each of the four bedrooms is designed with its own character. One of the bedrooms is an oversized suite that spans 80 square meters and features two dressing rooms, with wardrobes embellished by hand-painted silk wallpaper inserts. The bathroom is finished with luxurious Palisandro marble.
The last bedroom embraces subtle elegance, with dark blue tones and light sycamore wood, while a bespoke headboard showcases meticulous craftsmanship.
A Timeless Fusion of French and Middle Eastern Elegance
This villa exemplifies the successful fusion of French elegance and Middle Eastern grandeur, offering a luxurious family home that will be cherished for generations.
