The North Paddington Foodbank (NFPB) is the largest emergency food aid charity in Westminster. Established in 2014, it provided local residents with direct access to emergency food as part of its commitment to overcoming food poverty. However, since 2021 NPFB has adopted a ‘cash first’ approach, offering emergency income through supermarket food vouchers, alongside advice to also help address the root causes of food insecurity. As part of their broader mission to give people more control and dignity by allowing them to choose and buy their own food.

Enness Global will be supporting this vital local charity by raising funds throughout the winter season, while also championing the innovative work NPFB is delivering for the local community.

Commenting on the launch, Islay Robinson, CEO at Enness Global, said: “Although Westminster, home to both Enness’s HQ and the North Paddington Foodbank, is one of the wealthiest wards in the UK capital, it is also home to many residents who rely on support to meet the rising cost of living. At Enness, we believe in empowering individuals, both in their financial situation and overall well-being. I’m therefore delighted we’re able to support NPFB’s cost of living appeal and help households navigate the ongoing challenges of the cost-of-living crisis, which is expected to intensify this winter.”

Thomas Delap, Head of Charity at North Paddington Foodbank, also remarked: “Often the need for emergency food aid arises from temporary situations of low and insecure income – often connected to poorly paid work and/or insufficient benefits, which can be exacerbated by sudden income shocks. I’m personally delighted that Enness Global has chosen to support our cause this year. As a prominent local financial business, it’s clear we share common values and a commitment to empowering individuals to overcome food insecurity. Their support will help community initiatives go even further this winter.”
